Which small businesses are hurt most by rising gas prices? What can they do to save money?
Sponsored by HP.
I have absolutely no idea how to answer this question. I only just clicked on the Question of the Week to start blogging again. Heck, I don't even own a car. I guess that if businesses want to save money, they should all join Philly Car Share. It worked for me - it's cheaper and better for the environment. Of course, now this blog is a PSA - sorry about that!
But seriously - bad question and bad answer, I know. But come back - because I leave for Asia (Vietnam and Cambodia) on Thursday, so travel blogging is about to commence!
What time is your alarm clock set for? Do you use the snooze button?
It's summer - this means that they only time I set my alarm is when I have to go to an early physical therapy appointment (I know, you totally hate me). During the school year though, I set it for 5:30 on the days that I have class and 7:30 otherwise. And of course I use the snooze button - who doesn't?
What was the last wedding you went to? Were you in the wedding?
The last wedding I went to was a cousin's wedding. I wasn't in it, but there are a lot of fun stories that came out of it! For instance, she's 22, he's 36. She's 5'11", he's 5'4". She walked down the aisle to the theme song from "The Great American Hero." It was an outdoor wedding and reception and it was 98 degrees. My mom got heat stroke that night. There was a couple (they were guests) who dressed alike: jeans, cowboy hats, and matching American Flag cowboy shirts. Those guests danced a lot. I was seated at a table with my parents - and an aunt my mother doesn't speak to. Overall, good times were had by all.
I have been a guest at some of the most bizarre weddings ever. I wish I had an explanation for all the weirdness, but what can I say, my relatives are a lot of crazy!
What magazines do you subscribe to, and why?
Runner's World - because I'm a runner, even on the days when I'm not running as fast as I'd like.
Vogue Knitting - because one day I'll be able to knit like the pros (you know, when I'm retired).
Interweave Knits - because I'm convinced if I stare at the patterns long enough, I'll learn through osmosis.
Criminology - because it's the top publication in my field and my boss is the editor. I think there may be more academic journals (JQ, ASR, JCE, CPP), but they are mostly for show on my bookshelf - gotta look important!
Wow, I'm kind of lame. I bought a Marie Claire today to read at the pool - does that count?
