I have decided that I need to start blogging more consistently - not because I have anything especially intriguing to say, but because I need to train myself to write more and this is a good way to start. I didn't write much in this last year - at least, not much beyond a few article revisions and some syllabi. But for various reasons, I need to be much more productive in my writing this year and as mthgeek always reminds me, the more you do it, the easier it becomes. So I'll start blogging here more often in the hopes that it will carry over to my professional life.
On the bright side, I am sure that the things that I will be writing for professional display will be a bit more exciting than what I post here, although I will try to have an interesting 2008 for the sole purpose of at least giving you something worthwhile to read. I've got a trip to Asia on tap for the summer, so if you check back in August, you should at least be assured to have something good to read - and some fabulous pictures too!
Back to work for me - I want to start my new year off on the right foot!
I had surgery six weeks ago - which means I haven't walked a step in six weeks. I have crutched, hopped, and on ocassion, crawled, but not actually walked. I feel like a freak of nature!
That's all I have for right now. I will have more free time soon and then will describe all my trials and tribulations of hopping like a deranged bunny rabbit.
What time is your alarm clock set for? Do you use the snooze button?
It's summer - this means that they only time I set my alarm is when I have to go to an early physical therapy appointment (I know, you totally hate me). During the school year though, I set it for 5:30 on the days that I have class and 7:30 otherwise. And of course I use the snooze button - who doesn't?
